About Conference For several years, the Department of West Asia and North Africa (Middle East) Studies in the Faculty of World Studies of Tehran University has put the subject of peace studies and conflict resolution on its agenda. We had three actions in mind, firstly establishing a center for peace studies and conflict resolution, secondly establishing a field of international peace studies and conflict resolution at the graduate level, with the possibility of attracting domestic and foreign students, and thirdly establishing a permanent secretariat of the international conference on peace and resolution. The dispute and the annual holding of this conference. Establishing the field and the center is a matter of time and both are being done. The next action that reached the stage of implementation is the annual international conference on peace and conflict resolution, which will be held with the presence of professors and experts in the field of peace and conflict resolution from all over the world. Holding research and simulation workshops on conflict resolution is one of our other programs. In holding the international conference on peace studies and conflict resolution, domestic and international scientific figures specializing in peace and conflict resolution, UNESCO, the Iranian World Studies Association, and the Iranian Peace Studies Association cooperate. This conference will be held with an interdisciplinary approach and in two main areas of peace studies and conflict resolution. The conference call covers a wide range of topics and diverse approaches to peace studies and conflict resolution. The approach of the conference is practical and problem-oriented. A better understanding of the concepts and theories of peace and the presentation of new initiatives in the theoretical dimensions and operational solutions of conflict resolution in the form of innovative articles and the exchange of constructive experiences is the most important goal that the Secretariat of the International Conference on Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution will pursue. |
